Need a new Doctor

I go to an endocrinologist twice a year to monitor my thyroid and to make sure my medicine is the right amount. He's a nice guy. He answers my questions. I sure wish he would listen better though. I know his office sees around 300 people a day and it can be hard to impossible to remember things about each person. But would it hurt him to take notes to keep up with my concerns in his files once in a while? For example, he started me out on a medication for my thyroid. If I don't take the right amount I gain weight, have a horrible time remembering even simple things and am so tired. I got the medicine to the right amount and then the next time for no reason he changed the type of medicine on me. I didn't realize until I went to pick it up. The pharmacist called the Dr. office and was able to change it back. I asked Dr. B about it later and he said he thought I was on the other stuff. Um, no. And its not cool to change my meds after getting the level right with the other stuff. He's done that a few times, including last month when my levels were off due to being pregnant. Hello... if you mess up my meds my baby can be born with birth defects, a low IQ or I could lose the baby all together. Fix your records! He's done other things that show he doesn't listen as well and I've just gotten to the point where I want someone new. I have an appointment scheduled for this Thursday to check to make sure my meds are still the right level. I have to go more often now that I'm pregnant. I got a letter in the mail cancelling this appointment Saturday. Of course Monday was labor day and the office was closed. So after much time being on hold today, I was told I could reschedule for a couple a weeks away. I had spotting since the last appointment and I don't want to wait longer. I want to make sure my levels are right. I went ahead and took the appointment time but said I wanted a nurse to call me so I could discuss getting in earlier. I bet she never calls. I realized after the call that I have my OB appointment where I have to drink that yucky stuff to test for gestational diabetes that same day. So I wouldn't be able to have my thyroid checked that day anyway. What a mess. I thought the lady of the phone was kind of rude too. Why can't people be professional?
